Bloomberg was here in NY. He held a press conference when the snow started hitting hard. I remember him having a bad cold and how badly he looked. I felt sorry for him.
I think the point is that he may have been in Bermuda the day before the storm, when it could be argued that he should have been here in the city, coordinating the blizzard response. The blizzard hit on December 26th, around 3:30p.m. if I recall... The article says he held a press conference shortly after, around 4 p.m., so he was in the city from then on. But where was he on Christmas Day, when the city should have been preparing for this very bad storm? The Blizzard Warning was issued by the National Weather Service mid-afternoon on Christmas Day. If Bloomberg was in Bermuda then, it may have been difficult for him to be coordinating the city's response.
