Personally, I loved Lincoln, and I love Spielberg's films - well, most of them. It's interesting that David Carr in this video doesn't mention Schindler's List, which I think is one of the most remarkable movies ever made. Watch this scene below, if you can stomach it...
While I enjoyed Lincoln a lot, I was disturbed by the depiction of Tad Lincoln having an auction catalog as a "play thing" for the lack of a better description. We're the Lincoln's that ignorant having such things in their home and giving it to their child as a toy? Just my observation.
