Now we're talking!

  1. The owners really did thir homework on this one. Unlike some other establishments that open up on a fly hoping for a big hit.

  2. What a great place. We didnt have the best food experience (and also find the prices to be a bit high...like $9 for a small macaroni and cheese) but drinks are reasonable and the environment is really nice. Even the Station House was packed after work. So exciting!

  4. I don't get outdoor seating, especially while it's still cold. Great! I can shiver and have car exhaust in my face while I eat! Sign me up.

  5. Went here with my kids. They loved the pancakes. I had the crab cakes. I didn't love the price tag. $65 for one adult and two kids (6 and 4) will mean that they don't get my Saturday afternoon business. It is not like my kids had mimosas. Will go back with the wife and sans kids.

    1. With brunch $15 per person that comes to $45 for 3 people. What else did you have to boost it by $20?

  6. I would agree that paying $65 for a brunch for 3 that included pancakes for 2 young children is on the high side. With that said, Banter's fixed price Brunch is in line with similar offerings in the neighborhood where prices range from $13.95/person to $17.95/person.

The same offering at a diner would likely be ~ 25% cheaper, and sometimes a diner is just fine (although I'm still waiting for a good one to open up in our neighborhood!).

Then again, sometimes I just need that Sunday morning cocktail :) I really did enjoy my Brunch at Banter and can't wait for the weather to warm up a little more so that I can take advantage of the outdoor seating.
