  4. Since when are burgers healthier options?

  5. Nothing on that menu is healthy. Great marketing goes a long way.

    1. Nothing except a huge variety of salads; turkey, veggie, bison and other healthy burgers, etc.. If you need help in remedial reading I am sure there are plenty of tutors here in FoHi.

  6. BB will now have to double it's volume to pay for the added rent.
    Will be tough to do.

    1. I think they'll get even more customers. I personally know people who didnt like going to the current location because they thought it was too small and everyone was right on top of each other.

  7. Did they knock out the entire wall that was dividing the two stores?

  9. Bareburger is quite pricey for what it offers, but the concept is solid. The store front next to it is getting an EXPANDED area and will have a much better layout. The ground floor was absolutely disgusting and needed to go. Those OLD Brown doors with #s on the outside needed to go. It was bringing in the wrong element.

I agree, the Bareburger expansion is very nice for the community even if you don't eat there.

The facade is very nice and it unifies that section really well and they take care of their property. It does act like a nice burger joint for those who want a change, even though I would agree it is overpriced with small portions but it does offer a unique selection.

But it is a nice business and with more room, they can do a lot more. Then we will see H&M or some other really nice stores move into the property next to it which is under construction.

Developers are upscaling the neighborhood and keeping it in good shape. Agora Taverna got constructed which is really nice. More new highrises are being built in this area and properties are going more upscale and so we will see a constant trend of this community improving over time.

Even the Hotel @ LIRR Jamaica station will upscale the transportation network with a convenient Hotel to use for people staying in Forest Hills since it will be very close by and by the JFK Airtrain. The boutique hotel where TWA terminal is should be very nice as well at JFK Airport.

Developers are starting to realize Queens means business and are finally starting to push ahead with plans in this community.

    1. How were these brown doors with the #'s bringing in a bad element?

    2. Yeah, a real rough element going into the ladies' clothing store...

    3. I used to go to barebuger constantly until you realize that you can get a $9-$11 burger from banter or BWW that comes with fries, while bareburger is costing $12-$15 with no side.

  10. I read about the Brown Door Business theory too. Professionals swear by it.
Glad BB got rid of them.

  11. Is it JUST me, or does anyone else think their burgers come out bland? I need to layer topping upon topping to get something that tastes good to me. Their pesto on top of that juicy burger = big win. Every time, though, I gotta salt and pepper it up. Do they season the meat at all? I'm serious! I really appreciate the grass fed meat and quality of their ingredients, but that can NOT come before the taste. Also, their fries suck. I don't think anyone can argue with that. Not having regular bacon also breaks my heart. The place is right around the block from me, and with a couple minor, minor changes, it would be gold.

    1. I keep recommending their bison burger to people. Quite tasty. Have you tried it? Lower in fat and tastes very good, I like it better than their beef burgers.

    2. I agree, I have tried Bareburger numerous times because my husband loves their fried pickles (also not healthy BTW) and the burgers are always so bland! No taste, they use no seasonings, not even salt or pepper. BARE burger indeed.

    4. Whelp, someone other than me and my family and friends like it, cause it's expanding. You should try some new things there. It has a wide variety of organic meats and vegetarian offerings. If you're looking for a regular burger place, go to Cheeburger Cheeburger or McDonald's. This is not that.

    5. I think the opposite, I think their burgers are better without a ton of toppings on them. I actually have yet to have anything I disliked. I'm a fan of the burgers, fries, friend pickles, shakes and the blueberry soda.

  13. Other than whole foods, where do you home chefs get grass fed beef from? I'd like to make my own version of a bareburger for my family since were on a budget.

    1. Fresh Direct! They have a great selection of grass fed, humanely raised ground beef. They also offer specialty meats such as Bison. Bon Appetit!
