If
you're not familiar with Walk Score, it's the leading measure of
neighborhood walkability delivering more than 10 million scores per day
across a network of over 30,000 websites. The site believes that walkable neighborhoods with access to public transit,
shorter commutes, and proximity to the people and places you love are
the key to a happier, healthier and more sustainable lifestyle. This
website and its mobile apps make it easy for people to shop for apartments
and rentals by neighborhood walkability, commute time and proximity to
public transit.
Did you notice that Forest Hills Gardens is designated as a seperate neighborhood on the list and scores better than Forest Hills. How so, there are no stores in the actual gardens (unless you count Jade and Dirty P's) you have to walk into Forest Hills common to get to anything. They should not be their own distinct neighborhood! Heck, they are completely surrounded by Forest Hills.
