the specialty candy store on the corner of 72nd Avenue CLOSED. theres a note saying its b/c of water damage caused by the mgmt company that they wont take responsibility for and they may or may not reopen. The chatchka store on the opposite corner is also going out of business.
It won't be long until the Austin Street property owners start building up. New zoning now permits them to build to 6 stories on one side and 4 stories on the other side of Austin. Not sure which side is which. But you can bet this will change the character of Austin like we have never seen!
