A shot of the renovated CTown supermarket on Austin St. with a rather innovative spelling of the name of our neighborhood. Still, a nice improvement...
Foresthills? Sounds like something Cindy Brady would say. All kidding aside, the facade looks nice, but how do you not get someone to proofread the name of the neighborhood on the design specs!!! It's the name of the neighborhood fer chrissakes!!!!! Mind-boggling.
Glad to see this sorry excuse for a supermarket has finally gotten a makeover!! Now if only the Key Food by the Post Office would become a Whole Foods...
That Key Food and the vacant building next store would be an ideal location for WF. Even their deliveries would be easy through the back of the building (Gerard Place) No traffic issues. When the Chevy showroom and lot closes, there would be potential parking available too.

ReplyDeleteThey probably did it deliberately, so people would talk about the store.
ReplyDeleteThe Inside definitely is a HUGE improvement from what was there prior!
ReplyDeleteThere's probably another store in the neighborhood with the same name. I.e. Forest Hills Market. So C-Town had to play around with the name...
ReplyDeleteNo more offensive odors either!
ReplyDeleteAny more long expired items on shelves like previously?
ReplyDeleteA lot of their inventory is not priced and shelf pricing labels are missing.
ReplyDeleteNeater, cleaner, nice curb appeal.
ReplyDeleteThe new owner is a very hardworking man. He has good ideas and is looking to be the best market in the area.

ReplyDeleteYou can suggest to Whole Foods a location for a new store-it is on their web site!
