Forest Hills Won't Be Part Of Citi Bike's Major Expansion

The bike-sharing system will hit more than two dozen new neighborhoods in the next four years — but Forest Hills won't be one of them.

  1. Not surprising. Didn't expect it to expand here. The push has been in and around Manhattan, including western Queens/Brooklyn. Basically areas like Williamsburg and Astoria where it's feasible to bike in and out of Manhattan. Forest Hills is too far removed from that zone. I know it's off topic to post this here, but any word on the C Town property? Are we doomed to get a Spectrum store further up the block? More pharmacies are opening also! I see a new one almost complete on Austin right across from the Japanese store, great hours too- Monday to Friday, 9-5; closed weekends!!!

  3. On one hand Citi Bikes would help getting around easier in FH. However, doesn't seem like there are dedicated bike lanes. Could be dangerous to ride without dedicated lanes
