Happy Pride Day!

We had a great time at the Dolly Parton concert last night at the Stadium. I realized it was my 6th concert at the Stadium since music returned there on August 28, 2013: Mumford (2013); James Taylor (2015); New York Pops (twice) (2015); Disclosure (2016) and now Dolly (2016).

Anyway, Dolly put on a great show, I'm sure anyone who attended would agree. She's really amazing.

And, this pic of a couple of rather enthusiastic Dolly fans at the concert last night also gave me a fresh new Gay Pride Day photo to use on the blog! It will battle the Gay Imperial Storm Trooper on this website each year going forward! (I also included that one below for good measure.)

And Lo and Behold, a New Restaurant and Lounge

Where did this come from? Well, it's there now... in the space where the gay bar Pride used to be in the Austin Street mall complex... and I kind of like the sign! Thanks to Jeff for sending in the photo...

Forest Hills' Gay Bar To Close

My good friends it has been a great journey I want to thank everyone for being great friends supporters to Pride lounge and me; I have really had a great experience and crazy parties, the LBGT community has been so great, thank you for supported me as a straight business man but unfortunately the spending and the register doesn't reach my goals so come and celebrate the last few days of Pride lounge; starting July 1 I am Changing the identity

Another Poster for Pride

New Gay Bar Coming to Forest Hills

The outdoor area used by the former Common Space.

A new gay bar called "PRIDE Forest Hills' Gay Bar and Lounge" will be opening the weekend of the 26th in the Forest Hills "mall" on Austin St., where Common Space lounge used to be. I am told it is owned by the same person who owns the nearby Corfu Grill.

Common Space used to make really nice use of the outdoor space in the back. I'm trying to find out more details about PRIDE, including if they will be using that space, but that seems like a nobrainer.
