Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of those killed or injured in today's cowardly attack.

Scary Stuff!

We have to always be on guard in our society for any suggestion that entire groups of Americans should be singled out for the actions of a small few who happen to be of the same race, ethnicity or religion. In history, when this has happened it has only led to absolute horrors. One example is the internment of thousands of Japanese Americans during World War II.
This particular individual has rubbed me the wrong way for years. His suggestions are dangerous and we should all take care to watch what he does very, very carefully: Examining Peter King's Calls for Muslim Surveillance

Let's try to do our best to make sure history doesn't repeat itself and we don't go casting blame for the Boston bombing on thousands of our fellow Americans who deeply love our country.

'This Is The World That We Live In'

Thanks Rosanna Scotto, for letting me know that. The Channel 5 local news anchor informed me of that after reporting breathlessly about the latest security scare at Newark Airport this morning. Of course it turned out to be nothing more than the ordinary radiation emitting from someone's packed computer monitor that forced the closure of the entire American Airlines terminal, delaying thousands of passengers.

Anyway, Rosanna, thanks for letting me know that 'this is the world that we live in,' especially considering that you and your broadcast play such a terrific role in bringing that world to me each day by reporting every single false alarm "lockdown","security breach", "home invasion" or whatever other ridiculously dramatic new scare-phrase you have invented to keep us all glued to the screen!! This is for you!
