Just a day after myself and some others took to Twitter to complain about the fact that after last week's storm they were plowing the way for cars on Queens Blvd., but not for pedestrians, someone seemed to have gotten the message. Thanks for the cleanup and keep up the good work!
The unshoveled crosswalks along QB have been a major issue for decades. Only when DSNY has extra staff will they come out and shovel a few. The need to stop piling the snow at the end of the medians and in the crosswalk. Only recently has the city been hiring volunteers to clear crosswalks and overpasses. We need consistency.
ReplyDeleteI'm very glad they finally did something. My mother doesn't have very good mobility and I worry about her walking around in the icy slush.
