alt-J has announced a unique concert at #ForestHillsStadium on Friday, June 15, the largest venue the band has ever headlined in North America. This performance is the only immersive sound show in the continent.
In another first for the band, the show will feature a surround speaker system enveloping the entire audience. The speakers will be used throughout the show to position sound effects mixed into a variety of the band’s material, thus creating an immersive sound experience.
The band has recently won the prestigious ‘Knights Of Illumination’ award for lighting production in an arena, which will also be featured at this show.
For this incredibly special event with guest Kamasi Washington the venue will have a general admission floor and a general admission bowl, so that fans can experience the show from every angle.
Tickets will go on sale this Friday at 10 AM Eastern at ForestHillsStadium.com!
Thanks! Please keep us updated on this summer's concert schedule! I'm keeping my hopes up for some good acts to stop by :)
ReplyDeleteNot loving the acts so far this summer. Hope you up your game and bring some good bands like in prior summers.
ReplyDeleteFH stadium seems to feature either retro/traditional (NY Pops) or indie acts. So far haven't had much interest in going even though love the location. There's gotta be something for everyone, still waiting
ReplyDeleteLive Nation and AEG control approx 80% of concert revenues. They think big as in big $$$$$$ and Big arenas not FH stadium,
ReplyDeleteVery sad that I'll never see the Cranberries here. I kept hoping every year they'd be booked, but now, of course, the point is moot since their lead singer died.
ReplyDelete:(
DeleteI'm ecstatic that alt-j is coming to the stadium! If you aren't happy about them playing here, try giving them a shot. It took a while for me to get it, but now one of my favorite bands. I could pass on their third and latest album though...
