I definitely would not want anything in the new Sunrise building. I saw several floor plans and the rooms are beyond tiny and the price tag is astronomical for what you're getting: not true luxury, short building- no real views to speak of, minuscule terraces, no health club, no indoor pool, I don't see there being 24hour doormen/concierge in a place that small, the list goes on and on. There is a reason why The Pinnacle has the name it does. I'd even rather live at the tan brick, dated-luxury Kennedy house then the Sunrise. It's better than the eyesore that was next to Boulangerie but anyone buying there is not making a great purchase.
Actually, come to think of it, the picture of the day that's used here looks like it's from the highest floor of the Sunrise- so there you go, the view as good as it gets: a partial view of Queens Blvd and the Kennedy House (and yes, the rectory and church parking lot as someone mentioned). Definitely not a million dollar view!!!
I wonder what the community sentiment was when The Kennedy House went up. Were there NIMBY protests? Actually this could have been considered the start of highrise overdevelopment in Central Queens along with LeFrak City.
Looks it's from the new Sunrise building looking down.
ReplyDeleteI'd love an apartment in that new building complex, but I also feel like it'd be a little weird to live right across from the church/rectory?
ReplyDeleteThe Kennedy Building in the limelight again

ReplyDeleteWhat is this pic supposed to represent? So it's the Kennedy House. Did something happen there?
