Saw this in the window of the recently-opened Italian restaurant Numero 28 on Restaurant Row. I'm sure hoping this means we will soon be able to get their absolutely superb pizzas delivered!
Also, I saw today that there is significant construction going on at the old Santa Fe restaurant location, also on Restaurant Row. They were pouring concrete, etc. So I sure am hoping that that space is finally being filled by, um, a restaurant, instead of a temporary Halloween costume shop again?

A bunch of people have been saying there is a medical marijuana dispensary opening called Curaleaf. Their website says that a Queens location is opening soon so it seems to be true
ReplyDeleteI think they might splitting the Santa Fe space into two smaller spaces. There's a fairly significant and permanent-looking wall down the middle that I've seen when I've walked by over the last couple of weeks.
ReplyDeleteDrake dont get your hopes up. Somewhere on FB there's mention of a marijuana dispensary going in there or some medical office..
ReplyDeleteOh I hope you're kidding about the medical marijuana place. How inappropriate for restaurant row. Something like that should be in Astoria, Woodside, Sunnyside, maybe Jackson Heights.
ReplyDeleteNot really. I've seen more people in need of a joint here than in the neighborhoods you've mentioned.
DeleteHa, who? The seemingly endless parade of young parents pushing strollers!
DeleteI am hoping that it is true about the medical marijuana dispensary. My husband was approved for medical marijuana several months ago and you have no idea how tough it is to purchase legally. You have to make an appointment with the dispensaries - and they are few and far between - and then the prices are insane. It would be great to have one locally, and hopefully they will be better to deal with than the others.
ReplyDeleteStrange that in the unfiltered section this 2 month old eatery is listed for sale. Do they just build lock in a lease and sell as if it is a franchise?
ReplyDeleteI do hear your point Diane but I just think "restaurant row" is not a good spot for that! There is definitely not a shortage of spaces for rent around here!
ReplyDeleteYes, the story about a medical marijuana dispensary opening here is true. It’s called “Fo High”.
ReplyDeleteLOL.
