The (kinda scary) Birds of Forest Hills

How about a little wildlife break? It's sometimes hard to forget that New York City is actually situated on Mother Earth and has things like animals, plants, and yes, even birds. I ran across this cool blog post/video of a Red-tailed hawk munching away on something not very appetizing in our very own MacDonald Park: Red-tailed hawk luncheon in Forest Hills, Queens

Oh, and of course you know I couldn't pass up a post about birds without including one my favorite movie scenes ever:

  1. Just found this posting about the hawk. I just saw a red-tailed hawk eating a pigeon too. The bird was in a tree on the corner of Fleet St. and 68th Ave.
