Tree Planting a Huge Success

Check out the statistics on the Rego-Forest Preservation Council blog about how many people showed up yesterday to help in the tree planting - something like 900: One Thing That's Green For The Records - Nearly 900 Volunteers Plant 180 Trees In MacDonald Park & Forest Hills Surroundings

  1. It was a great event and I hope there will be another one in the future.

  2. Pssst, those trees are just resting there. They're not planted!

  3. The photo of the trees symbolizes the great anticipation to plant them. They were placed on site shortly before the volunteer tree planting day, and previously, MacDonald Park had pink flags representing sites for the trees to be planted.

April 9th was a Forest Hills & greater NYC community day for the records!!! What an inspirational feeling. The vast quantity of children who volunteered represent a more promising future. There will be more events in the neighborhood involving trees. Stay tuned!
