When all else fails, I guess just cry

I was listening to talk radio the other day and a commercial came on where this young woman starts talking about the latest diet and how losing all this weight has changed her life. And then she starts to hysterically cry.

Look, maybe in this age of "reality TV" some people might be swayed by a crying pitchman for a product. But come on! Is this really how gullible we have become as a society? Have we completely lost track of what is real and what is not?

The recent crying trend didn't start with radio commercials. Our Speaker of the House is the most famous new crier amongst us:
