There seems to be a ton of interest in this new place, opening soon where the old Q Bistro used to be on Ascan. Here's a pic of what I hear will be a beer and wine bar, with assorted light food. It certainly already has the air of a classy place and I hear the've done a really nice job on the inside as well:
Unlike the 718 Hookah Lounge on Austin St., which looks like a drug den, this place looks charming. From what I've seen of the inside it is totally unrecognizable from the former occupant(s).
ReplyDeleteIt looks nice.
ReplyDelete718 bar has an awkward layout. I have no interest in a hookah bar. How do they get away with the smoking ban in bars law?
ReplyDeleteThis place is going to be awesome. Just what the neighborhood needed.
ReplyDeleteHad the chance to catch up with the owner, Cyril, today. He shopped the Forest Hills Farmer's Market on Sunday. I'm definitely under the impression that he's looking to source food locally. You have to love that!
ReplyDeleteHopefully La Boulangerie will be supplying the bread!
what is light food?? small plate type stuff? diet stuff? apps only?
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be charcuturie and small Chef plates (specials).
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be fantastic! : )
ReplyDeleteGreat, I was always turned off by the chef and owner of Q Bistro smoking out the front.
ReplyDeleteCraft beers... SOLD
