Iranian Election

By the way folks, this is what happens when you have a President of the United States who has a, what's it called again, oh yeah, a BRAIN!

Speaking on Monday for the first time since his election victory, Hassan Rowhani called Iran’s nonexistent ties with the United States a “wound” that must be healed.

  1. what does this have to do with who the President of the US is? Nothing. And you have to wonder how 'moderate' this guy really is.

    1. It's hard to take you with me in a time machine and show you an alternate universe timeline where W. was still President and we were now involved in another war, this time with Iran. But try to use your imagination. And now come back with me to this time line where we are at peace, and years of sanctions and international pressure and a devastated Iranian economy as a result appear to have led to a peaceful, and democratic I might add, resolution of a major Middle Eastern issue which has dire implications for many nations, including ours, and especially Israel.

    2. He's moderate compared to a nutjob, but he's still pretty conservative and was raised in the Iranian conservative political fabric from even before the revolution. We'll see what his rhetoric and actions are once he actually holds office.

  3. It's cute that you're that optimistic. This has nothing to do with the President and everything to do with making this guy's ascent to power as smooth as possible. Let's visit this in a year and when nothing has changed let's see how you feel.

  4. Who thinks it matters one whit who the Iranian president is? Ultimate power remains, as always, in the hands of the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Hosseini Khamenei.
