Forest Hills Celebrates the World Cup

Neighborhood restaurants and bars have been overflowing with crowds watching the World Cup.

  1. All of a sudden, everyone is a soccer fan. Very odd.

    1. There seems to be a bit of a sheep mentality going on. Much like the Superbowl. The attitude is "Well, everyone is following the soccer games, so I guess I should as well." Most of the people who now claim to be following the games, won't even utter the word "soccer" when the games are over.

  2. Not odd -- Americans are just catching up to the rest of the world ; maybe we'll be able to read a map soon and understand that Georgia is also a country and not just a state!

    Plus -- Fifa has done some great marketing and our team is becoming from decent to Good!
