And speaking of small businesses—or maybe the better term is independent businesses since La Boulangerie is always so packed with customers the word "small" just doesn't seem to fit—it was so nice to see how our finest French bakery is expanding its role in the neighborhood, hosting local events. Red Pipe is bringing some good stuff to the hood as well. I believe every Wednesday they have music. Guitar or piano. Let's support all of those businesses that really go out of their way to participate in our community !
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the poetry reading and discussion in La Boulangerie Events. Most famous poets were present there. You know I had attended a lot of poetry reading and discussion NYC events, when I was in school I used to write my own stuff and won a lot of awards for that.
