  1. Looks just like the one across from the post office. Same management?

  2. It looks very similar to the newly opened apartment building on 70th Ave, near NYSC...which they are trying to charge $2,500 for a 1 bdrm.

    1. *Sigh* I realize that's still way more affordable than Manhattan prices, but holy geez, that is bonkers for our beloved 'hood.

    2. Bonkers, really? We pay over $2000 for a one bedroom in a pre-war building in FH. Granted, I'm sure ours is larger, but still...

    3. If you think that's bonkers you should see what they're trying to rent out 1 bdrms for at the Aston...based on Zillow ~$3k

    4. I agree that $2,500 for a 1 bedroom is bonkers for FH. We pay $1,800 for a large one bedroom in a pre-war building and we're on the corner of 108th St. & Jewel Ave. We've been there for 3 years. Maybe if you're renting now places are asking that much which is ridiculous. Looking around I see plenty of 1 bedrooms for under $2,000 and close to everything.

    5. We pay $1800 for a large 1 bedroom, pre-war, working fireplace. And a kitchen we can actually cook in and sit at table to enjoy the meal. Yup, $2500 for the new, small places with a step-out balcony is bonkers.

  3. Looks like that's a "stop work" order taped onto the rendering...

  7. From what I understand, stop work orders are passed out like candy as a way to get $$ for NYC. Same thing with health inspections - the fines are big money for the city. Of course, I don't know what's going on with the hole on Austin near Bareburger. Talk about a STOP work order!
