Should we tell these 300,000 poor souls that we have access to several subway lines, the Long Island Railroad which gets you into Manhattan in 20 minutes, as well as express buses? Nahh.....
New York is not a world class city with the current state of its transportation system. I don't care how many museums, cultural centers, restaurants, clubs, gyms, high end real estate, landmarks,etc etc it has, none of this means SQUAT unless it can transport its populace to and from their jobs quickly and comfortably, day in and day out.
But we aren't cool, edgy and artisanal!
