La Boulangerie to Close for Two Weeks

Stock up on those scrumptious breads, etc. while you still have time! (I've received a bunch of inquiries about this, by the way. And no, I have no idea what their new product line will be, sorry!)

  1. That's too bad. But it's a positive thing to be able to renovate and expand a business anywhere in NY these days.

  2. I hope the expand the seating area. I can never find a seat there, not even on a weekday morning!

    1. ESPECIALLY when strollers are in there. I hope someday they could afford to move into a bigger space, if it exists on Austin...

that scaffolding is atrocious btw...sad that it's been there for so long...how is that even legal?

    2. I would definitely say that the seating capacity is their biggest problem.

As for the scaffolding, it has to be hurting the businesses on that block, am I right? You can't even see any of the store signs, which means if you didn't already know those stores were there, you'd never be able to tell.

  4. This is horrible news. Boulangerie is the crown jewel of Forest Hills. Even a 2 week absence is devastating.

    1. You can't be serious. One of the best local businesses in Forest Hills is going to do a renovation and introduce a new product line and your reaction is that this is "horrible news"? The reality is the exact opposite. It is excellent news that the "crown jewel" of Forest Hills has been so successful that they now have the resources to renovate their store, introduce a new product line and become an even better place than they are now. The short two week absence will be well worth it for the renovation and improvements that I'm sure will be accomplished by the very talented and professional owner of La Boulangerie.
