The Grill on Restaurant Row is Closed

Not sure if this is temporary or permanent. No signs on the windows either way. I like the food at this place, though find the prices too high for what it offers/ the demographics of this neighborhood. My current choice for a Mediterranean restaurant in the area is the new Rimtin on Metropolitan Ave. I still miss Wafa's though!  Boy, Restaurant Row sure is going through a period of change these days.

  1. If it was so great, it would still be open.

  3. It IS right next to the leftover portion of the old Uno's space. Could very well be an expansion on the way like MoCA was, or it's making way for a tenant that will use both halves... #letsthinkoptimistically

    1. lol yes I know, calling it Restaurant Row with like 4 places there just accentuates it and make it seem pathetic

    2. Doesn't take too much brain power to conclude that since there are spaces that are vacant there, they will be filled, and thus will soon be back to its former glory.

  8. Was this place popular? I never heard anyone I know talk about it or say they had eaten there.

    Still, too bad.

  9. Interesting, considering Community Board 6 just approved their liquor license renewal in October.

  11. When it opened, the owner said they were going to have a "noisy brunch." As a result, we never walked into the place. This isn't the West Village.

    1. Yes, God forbid there should be noisy brunches in Forest Hills. Lord knows we don't need that given the state of the world these days.

  12. Maybe this has to do with rent, maybe has do with FH having soooo many Mediterranean restaurants. Been here once and it left no impression. Similar to other restaurant row establishments.
