New French Restaurant Opening in Forest Hills

I am not quite sure of the specifics, and whether this place will be another French bakery or an actual restaurant, but this cute spot is coming in a few weeks to 71st Road. I think, but am not sure, it's in the location where the cleaners that moved across the street used to be. Anyway, I am impressed by the look of the place and look forward to learning more! Email edgeofthecity@gmail.com if you have any additional details!

  1. Nice! Finally some interesting news around here! That floor is adorable. Also be on the lookout for the Tokyo Market opening next to the firehouse. They put up beautiful tiles on the facade, should be cool.

  2. If anyone has been to any of the Maison Keyser French bakeries in Manhattan, you'll notice they use similar tiles. I wonder if they're opening here. If so, Boulangerie definitely has some competition. The location might be small for them though, either way it's exciting!

  3. FH is ready for a French restaurant, we are grown up enough to appreciate it. Promise! Wonder if it's the same guy who has restaurants in Sunnyside and Jackson Heights...

    1. To the 10/22 commenter, if it's the same guy then we are in for an amazing place! Bistro Eloise in Jackson Heights is a gem and the owner is so charming, a real class act.

  5. Wow, I still miss that French place that closed on restaurant row like 10 years ago.
