Eleven years ago, on Sept. 16, 2010, Forest Hills was hit by a ferocious tonado-like storm that brought down trees and caused massive destruction throughout the neighborhood.
I was living in an illegal basement apartment in Kew Gardens when this happened. I'm probably lucky to be alive.
I remember coming home from Manhattan in an express bus. It got very dark out and the bus was rocking. So scary
Did you happen to get any photos of Burns Street on Halloween night? Just wondering. It was a lot of fun out there!
