New Austin Restaurant Pics

My top-notch roving reporter snapped these this morning:

The new sign for the Agora Taverna is up (this is the Greek restaurant moving into the old Piu Bello location).

A quick peak into the new Exo Cafe showed it is nearing completion.

I'm very surprised the Greek restaurant went with such a simple sign. They also have a rather cheap looking sign hanging over the sidewalk. From what looks like an extensive & expensive renovation, the signage is lacking.

Exo Cafe looks like it will be a great addition to the neighborhood.

  2. I'm not saying it's my favorite sign, but I like simple. Exo in my opinion has gone over-board with their awnings/signage. My favorite signage in the neighborhood .... aged Steakhouse. Just wish I liked the food as much as their sign! :)

I agree about Exo's signage. The sign over the door is simple but stylish. The awnings are very generic and clutter the facade.

  4. That Agora sign is horrendous, it has upside down spelling in Greek. How are you supposed to read that? I wonder if their menu and service will be upside down too.

  5. Actually, I think it's a catchy sign. The upside down spelling makes it look like a reflection of Agora by the 3 lines above it representing water.
