At Least We Don't Have One of These... Yet

This has got to be the worst restaurant review I have ever read in my entire life...

As Not Seen on TV
What the food and service at Guy Fieri’s Times Square establishment conjure is pure bafflement, among other things.

  1. Seriously, one does not even need to read a review to know that Fieri's restaurant will be awful. As much as I dislike Fieri, the NY Times writer seems to be another one of those type of writers who is convinced he is intellectually witty and funnier than he really is. It's a bit of an ego trip for the critic. He can just review the place and food as an adult, not as someone who thinks they're a writer on a sitcom. The review was trying way too hard.

  2. Feedle is right. I don't like Guy Fieri either, or his food, but the reviewer went way overboard on him. It was a personal attack on Fieri and I suspect there is something deeper going on there.

  3. What would you expect from that putz (Fieri) AND a Times Square location. I'm sure the tourons from Duluth will love it

  4. The Observer did a review early in October that is just as hateful. Sounds like a terrible restaurant, but these reviewers took great delight in being bombastic jerks about it.

  6. I think Forest Hills is planning to get Rachael Ray's Yum-o Bistro and Paula Deen's Deep Fried Cheesecake Cafe brought to you by Victoza.

  7. It seemed more of a personal attack on Fieri rather than an actual review of his restaurant. As other posters have mentioned, I think there is something else going on here. The critic had an agenda before he even stepped foot in the restaurant.

  8. An agenda? Good grief. What on earth would the agenda be? Every question was a legit critique of the food. Guy set himself up for this pure and simple. He travels the country making millions by branding himeself as the guy who can find what's great about American food. Then he opens a restaurant here and charges $30 a plate for slop. Yes, that sounds like an agenda to me! Serve good food you'll get a good review.
