  1. What size was this one?

  2. Stop teasing us! Looks so good. But only 6 slices? A Sicilian pie usually yields nine. I'll check it out on Tuesday. Thanks for the preview!

    1. Thanks for the pic. Would you say the 15" pie was the equivalent of about 3 slices of regular pizza at a typical pizzeria?

  3. How does it compare to other local pizza places like AJ's and Gloria's?

  4. i had the 25" osovodo pie with two fried eggs, and bacon on each slice. It was really good and reasonably priced for $16.

  7. I was there today and had the 10" Margarita for a mere $5. Delicious - light and crispy. My friend had the salmon burger with salad. Looked wonderful and i don't even like salmon. A work in progress but a wonderful addition to the neighborhood.

  8. That looks very appetizing. BIG question: Do they serve gluten-free pizza?

  9. No, they do not have gluten free pizza on the menu. It's something you can mention to management -- you never know.

Nick's does a solid business. I never understood it personally, as I have always found their cheese tasteless and their sauce bland. Prior to Tuscan Hills, IMO the only good place in the neighborhood for Pizza was Lillian's. Now, between Tuscan Hills and Gloria's, I no longer see the need to hike over to Lillian's.

Excited to try OvoSodo Pizza. Will head over tomorrow for a slice!

  12. The husband and and I went there the other night and we were terribly disappointed. First of all, I don't get what the big deal is over the pizza. The crust was good, but the cheese was a thin, congealed mess and it had very little taste. My husband got the salmon steak and he hated it. He said it was too salty and being that he's married to an Asian who puts soy sauce in everything, that's saying something. He said he could barely taste the salmon or even the hollandaise sauce on the salmon because of the salt. It was served over a bed of spinach, which he said was practically brined. I love Tuscan Hills (though not their pizza) so we were really disappointed. My husband said he will not return, especially because they had no ambience or alcohol to make the salt with a side of food go down easier. For pizza, I'll stick to Dee's and Gloria's, both better options by far in the neighborhood.
