Shake Shack in Forest Hills

More, stronger rumors today... But no confirmation.

If it does happen:

Competes with:
Twist & Smash'd
Cheeburger Cheeburger

Doesn't compete with:
McDonald's
Bareburger
Pubs that sell burgers

  2. I just checked DOB records and there are no filings for permits to do work at the old Strawberry store on Austin Street. The formation of an LLC named Shake Shack Forest Hills in Delaware doesn't mean anything...yet.

  3. it is one chain i don't mind seeing in forest hills but much better suited on metropolitan ave in the old sizzler location. parking + lower rent = no brainer.

  4. There's not foot traffic on Metropolitan = no Shake Shack

  6. To be clear, it really doesn't compare with either of the two places mentioned.

  7. I was walking down Austin St. 2 days ago and a construction guy came out of the old Stawberry location with a bag of cement on his shoulder and the woman walking in front of me asked him what it was going to be and he said "a bar."

They do work for Shake Shack, but also Burger King and Senor Frog's. We'll see!
