Thanks to Kathy S. for sending in this pic of another Red Tailed Hawk, this one she spotted in Middle Village. Seems like these guys are showing up more and more in our area of the City.
True. I live in Bayside and one day there was one in the tree and we were looking at it. A girl walked up with her a small dog and it was obvious that bird was eyeing the dog. We told her to pick up the dog and hold it because otherwise the bird might come swooping down at it. It then took off after some pigeons that flew by.
People with tiny dogs, watch out!
