The smaller neighborhood street fair is happening today, Sunday April 22nd. It runs along Queens Blvd., from Yellowstone Blvd. to 70th Road. Perfect weather for it!
Hurry and get a turkey leg before they're all gone!
Why do we need this particular street fair? There are already 2 on Austin street and the 112 Community Council has their annual Night Out Fair in August. This is overkill.
Answer: we don't. But they're a fun community activity, an excuse to get people out of doors for a few hours, and a great showcase for small businesses vendors. Does there really need to be a greater significance?

ReplyDeleteThere weren't any small businesses from our community there except for one of the local banks.
