The changes will allow the first six cars of LIRR trains to meet the platform at the Forest Hills and Kew Gardens stations, instead of the first four cars.

They put up metal fencing and wood platforms covered with some weather proof floor. This is a historic train station with President Roosevelt speaking here many moons ago. I hope this is temporary structure that’s up now and they keep with the decor of the past, with future renovations. Preserve thee history of Forest Hills LIRR station!
