A new Japanese restaurant named Bamboo Ya will be opening June 11th on Austin Street. It will occupy the space of the recently closed The Old Siam Thai restaurant, located opposite Gerard Towers. The owners allowed me inside for a sneak peek:

Japanese restaurant chain Tamashii set to open its doors in Forest Hills soon
Along with Tamashii Red, the Tamashii brand also operates Tamashii Ramen in Astoria and Tamashii Blue in Long Island City. They are known for their assortment of specialty ramen dishes.Read more here:
