I think that they purposefully made Dale annoying for his last few episodes. The question is who will replace him as time goes on. It's time for them to leave the farm....
Dale being increasingly annoying and finally being killed off is a natural evolution to the story. The "civil" values of the past reality simply cannot work in the new and chaotic world. I find this a very interesting (yet sad of course) turn of events. In such a brutal reality I think the story is really going to go into interesting places. A social experiment similar to Lord of the Flies.
Ah come on, it's just one less annoying character to deal with. I'd like to see a similar fate for another couple of them!

ReplyDeleteWow, I never found Dale annoying. He was one of my favorite characters. I think what he told the group right before he died was exactly right.
