By the way, I walked by Sister Unn's a few days ago and noticed it looked like they had packed up all of their dead roses and skipped town. I can't say anything confidently about Sister Unn's, especially given I still don't know what that was all about to begin with, but it does look like their stay in FoHi is over. Unless there's going to be some sequel?
It's hard out there for a zombie flower shop.
ReplyDeleteI think they entered the dead flower market too early. According to the Wall Street Journal, dead flower shops are going to be big starting in the Fall of 2013.
ReplyDeleteStore For Rent sign in front.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely closed
Not surprised this closed. What is surprising is that the tie store on Austin is still in business. There is NEVER ANYONE in there. And seriously, who needs to go to a tie store these days? I really wonder how that place stays in business. It must be some sort of front.
ReplyDeleteDid Sister Unn's ever OPEN???!!!
DeleteIt was not a tie store, it was a "dead" roses store
The person was talking about a different place... obviously. Either purchase a new pair of spectacles, or lay off the bourbon at so early in the day.
DeleteNow, as for Sister Unn's, it was a performance art space of some kind. I am not sure but I think it was part of a larger performance art piece. Now, it is over so they closed it.
Love the tie shop! By the way, google DMITRY ties!
DeleteI hope we never find out what it is ... or was. Just adds to the mystery.
ReplyDeleteI own about 60 ties from that store, and it's totally not a front. His ties are actually sold on zappos, overstock, and recently were on gilt.com.
