The TV show The Americans returns to filming in Forest Hills Thursday. A reader says filming will be "on the south side of Queens Blvd between the 76's and also Austin."
They're filming on 76th Rd. outside of my building right now. They've installed a bus stop (with bus), period cars and a telephone booth on Austin Street. Dressing rooms are on QB.
Yeah, the fake bus stop even has a fake bus schedule attached to it. It's very detailed. There was a crossing guard out there for a while this afternoon, but I couldn't tell if it was just someone who was trying to keep the set clear or an actor.
There's a bunch of trash and debris (a few broken air conditioner units, some other things) on the street in front of my apt. building right now. I'm pretty sure it was put there on purpose, to set the scene.
That's pretty much right where the Austin street playground is. I wonder if they plan to use it in their shoot?
