Interesting Spot Available

The site of the former Sterling Bank is now available. I posted about this a while ago, but I can see this being a cool, chic new restaurant like the former Blue Water Grill at Union Square which was also in a bank... Oh, and unrelated, but I think we have one more horrible weekend of our Express subways going local again, and then somewhat better...

Sterling Bank

I think someone had commented on this blog a while ago that Sterling Bank might be the next building up for redevelopment. I noticed these signs in the windows upstairs advertising office space. I can't confirm any plans to close the bank and develop the property, but I thought the fact that they're advertising for a new tenant may say something about any immediate plans or lack thereof. Or maybe it doesn't. Any way, food for thought.
